Service to our Community

The Community Grant, given to only 40% of applicants nationally, is £374 on average. The estimated cost of furnishing a home with essential furniture is between £1750 and £3500. Locally Raven House makes the difference.

We cannot do more with present resources. We will seek additional resources to maintain and enlarge our operation on a secure basis in response to desperate local need. We shall set targets and measure progress.

This means new premises, more staff, and more volunteers. We are committed to help them all to attain qualifications, including OCN and NVQs.

We will seek to build up our partnerships with referring agencies, with the churches and the whole community. We will also build up relationships within our organisation.

In all of this, we will seek to become ever more business like and professional.

Someone once said that Raven House has provided its own reason for its existence. Clients come back to tell us of their gratitude for that existence
